I know lots of you were out celebrating Valentines Day
yesterday (which is awesome!) so I wanted to resend
this to make SURE you got it...
It's a a cool little trick for getting 200+ clicks every
day on YouTube for FREE. Really not even a trick,
but a "plan of action" that will get you there fast...
What's great about YouTube is that it's got built in
traffic - millions of people - coming to the site each
and every day like clockwork, looking for information on
every topic imagineable...
So it's just a matter of knowing how to easily grab your
share of this traffic!
The key to getting a steady stream of FREE traffic from
youtube is *consistency*. You want to come up with a plan
of action for submitting ONE exclusive video (of your own)
per DAY, if at all possible. What this will enable you to
do is build a "list" of YouTube *subscribers* to your
channel, that will be notified of each NEW video that you
submit... Meaning that as things build, you'll not only
have brand new people finding and watching your videos,
you'll ALSO have a growing list of loyal subscribers that
won't want to miss a single video! ...Meaning more comments,
ratings, higher rankings, and ultimately MORE TRAFFIC from
each successive video that you submit!
ALL it takes to do a video is a webcam, and an article
opened up on your computer that's ready to read. People
would MUCH rather watch you read, than watch a video that
scrolls through some text. If you're camera shy, no worries,
you can use a service such as videogoround.com to have a
virtual character read your article with a fairly real
sounding voice.
Inject your own personality into your videos, whether it's
your mannerisms as you talk into the webcam, or what is
said in the article itself. Be YOU. This is VERY impotant,
since in one way or another, you don't merely want to
"inform" your viewers. You want to ENTERTAIN them as well!
Provide good content, of course, but be funny, or
interesting, or mysterious, or *something* to get people
hooked on YOU! (Get ideas from the millions of other videos
on YouTube!)
Also, be SURE to ask people to subscribe to your channel
at the beginning of (or somewhere in) each video. If you
ask them at the beginning, this leaves room for you to
mention a website or product link at the end (hint hint).
Keep your videos short and to the point. "Tips" videos work
great. Short and punchy 1 - 3 minute "video tips" will
usually get many more views than longer videos. People want
instant gratification, so give it to them!
Pictures really help get views as well. If you've got an
eye catching, or curiosity provoking image to use as the
thumbnail for your video, all the better!
Next, employ this little "copycat secret" that I use to get
better rankings for YouTube videos... Find similar videos
to your own that are getting lots of views, and underneath
them, click the "Show More" button. Locate the "Category"
and "Tags" (keywords) in the drop down. Select the same
category, and use some of the same keywords for your
own video. (Don't try to completely reinvent the wheel in
other words; go with what works!)
Also make sure to use one or two main keywords in your
video TITLE. Beyond that, think of your video title as
similar to an email subject line. The purpose of a good
email subject line is to get people to open the email...
Well likewise, the purpose of a good video title is to get
people to watch the video. Save good email subject lines,
and check out sites like ezinearticles.com (article
headlines) to get great ideas for your video titles.
Mention your product or website link both at the end of
each video, AND in the description box (with a LIVE link)
underneath your video. Make sure your link is visible to
viewers *without* them having to click on the "Show More"
button. Most importantly, TELL people to click on your
link and take action. Don't be shy! You've provided good
content, and you're merely asking your viewers to check
out your offer in return. If they like your content they'll
trust you and be happy to do it!
Remember also that YouTube ITSELF is a great place
for getting even more tips and strategies for increasing
the amount of FREE traffic you can get from video
marketing.
Although the right video can get thousands of videos
within a matter of hours on YouTube (I've done it!), this
method overall is a BUILDING approach to free traffic,
meaning you need to stick with it, and normally can
expect to see trickles of traffic with each video early
on, with bursts, and then SURGES of traffic as things
steadily grow over time! Very much like email list
building...
